Ps Martin & Roslyn Steel

Martin and Roslyn Steel are senior pastors of Harbourside Church in Auckland, New Zealand. Their passion is to see people encounter God and become all they were born to be.

Martin and Roslyn are passionately committed to the Cause of Christ, in both the local church and the wider body of Christ.  They have over 25 years experience in leadership and pastoral ministry including five years spent in Eastern Europe serving the church through leadership training, church planting and evangelism.

Martin is a popular and sought after Christian speaker. Known for his ability to impart leadership and life principles from God’s Word in a clear and vibrant manner. He ministers regularly in churches, pastors and leadership conferences throughout Europe, United States, Australia, South Africa and Asia.

Martin and Roslyn reside in Takapuna, New Zealand, and have two children Amy and David.

Ps Martin & Roslyn are assisted by Ps Paul Zaia, Ps Sue MacDonald and Ps Andrew Simkin.   Our Executive Team are responsible for the day to day ministry of the church and are supported by the church board.

Paul Zaia
Executive Pastor / Worship Pastor

Having been in full time ministry for the past 17 years Paul is regarded as the most experienced Worship Pastor in Australasia.

For 7 years Paul served as the Worship Pastor in one of Australia’s leading churches – Paradise Community Church in Adelaide, South Australia. It was there where he was responsible for mentoring and pastoring the winner of the inaugural Australian Idol competition – Guy Sebastian.

Paul’s songs have featured on various album releases around the world. The award winning ‘Everything’ album which was produced by Paul and featured many of his songs achieved certified gold status in New Zealand, was voted the ‘Christian Booksellers (NZ)’ album of the year and was recognized by the secular music industry of New Zealand.

Having worked with many amazingly gifted people in church settings over the past two decades, Paul has a great passion to see the House of God filled with the best the world has to offer in terms of the arts.

He is a gifted communicator and has ministered extensively throughout Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia at churches and worship conferences alike.

He is married to Alicia and together they have 3 boys -  Joel, Tyler and Jordan.

Sue MacDonald
Executive Pastor / Leadership Training and Personal Development Pastor / Human Resource

With over 25 years of ministry experience Sue has been involved in the training and development of church and community leaders within New Zealand, Australia and Europe. Sue has specialized in the mobilization and shaping of well established teams of leaders and volunteers for world class churches. 

She has completed her Graduate diploma of Arts: Specialisation in Leadership with the Sydney College of Divinity & work in process to completion of Master of Arts. Her wealth of experience in recruitment, retention and valuing processes for staff and volunteers has demanded an advocacy role in Human Resource.  

Alongside her vast people skills, she has passionately outworked over 15 years of part time and full time work in Eastern Europe and supporting International churches and mission organizations from New Zealand.  Sue’s cultural adaptability and awareness is key to Harbourside G3 mission initiatives.

Sue is a mother of 2, Carla and Aaron.

Andrew Simkin

Executive Pastor /  Campus Pastor Hibiscus Coast

Andrew has enjoyed a management background in banking, finance and business and sees the work place as a legitimate environment to bring Kingdom principles and influence.

Prior to taking on a full time Executive role, Andrew successfully balanced self employment with a variety of ministry expressions including that of an Associate Pastor within C3 Church and Harbourside.

Andrew is passionate about people encountering God’s presence, discovering meaning for their lives and being equipped to reach their purpose and dreams.

Andrew oversees a multi-faceted portfolio principally in the areas of Ministry Teams, Pastoral Care & Connection, Men’s Ministry, Finance, Business Enterprise and Property.

Married to Rachelle, they have 3 awesome children – Nathan, Jack & Neve.
